Hi Friend,

When it comes to digital marketing, I’m Not Going to Lie to You About This…

Your Small Business Probably Needs Help Online (Mine Did Too)

Hi. So… I’ve been staring at this screen for like twenty minutes trying to figure out how to say this without sounding like every other “digital marketing guru” out there.

Here’s the thing – if you’re a small business owner in Nigeria looking for digital marketing services, you’re probably drowning. Not literally, but… you know what I mean. One day you think social media marketing is the answer. The next day someone tells you it’s all about Google SEO. Then your cousin says you need website design. Then your neighbor says websites are dead and it’s all about TikTok now.

I get it. I really do.

Look, I started JS Digital digital marketing agency because I was that confused business owner once. Actually, I still am sometimes. But somewhere along the way, I figured out a few things that actually work for Nigerian businesses online. Not everything – God, definitely not everything – but enough to help local businesses in Lagos, Abuja, and Port Harcourt get more customers.

DIGITAL MARKETING SERVICES THAT ACTUALLY WORK FOR NIGERIAN BUSINESSES

I was going to write this fancy list of services, but honestly? Most of the time, small businesses in Nigeria come to us because they’re frustrated. They’ve tried Facebook advertising and lost money. They built a business website that no one visits. They’re posting on Instagram marketing and getting three likes from their mom and two bots.

So here’s what we actually help with:

Getting people to notice you exist (which is harder than it sounds in Lagos traffic, digital or otherwise)

Making your phone ring with actual customers – not people asking if you sell something completely different

Building something online that doesn’t make you cringe when you show it to people

Understanding what the hell is actually working – because throwing money at Facebook and hoping for the best is not a strategy (learned that the hard way)

The thing is… sometimes we recommend Instagram ads. Sometimes we say forget Instagram, fix your Google My Business presence first. Sometimes – and this might shock you – we tell people they’re not ready for digital marketing yet and should focus on their core business first.

Digital Marketing In Nigeria: What I Wish Someone Had Told Me Earlier

Actually, scratch that. Let me tell you what I wish I knew when I was figuring out online marketing for Nigerian businesses:

Most “digital marketing agencies” are just guessing dressed up in fancy reports. We try to guess less. We test more. We measure what actually matters – like, did more people call you? Did you make more sales? Not “engagement rates” or whatever.

Your customers are probably not on the platform you think they’re on. I thought everyone was on Instagram. Turns out, for some businesses, WhatsApp Business marketing works better. For others, it’s actually Google search optimization. Who knew?

You don’t need everything. You need the right things. But figuring out what’s “right” for your specific Nigerian small business… that’s the tricky part.

Free Digital Marketing Audit

I’m Probably Going to Regret This, But…

I’m offering free digital marketing audits right now. Not because I’m desperate for clients (okay, maybe a little), but because I genuinely think most Nigerian businesses are wasting money on the wrong things.

I’ll look at your current setup – social media presence, website performance, Google ranking, whatever you’ve got – and tell you honestly what’s working, what’s not, and what you should probably stop doing immediately.

No sales pitch. Well, maybe a small one if I think we can actually help. But mostly just straight talk about where you’re losing money and how to stop.

The catch? I can only do about 10 of these properly, so… if you’re interested, don’t wait around.

some Success Stories

Some details have been altered to respect the privacy of clients.

I launched my online course and sold 3 copies in the first month. One was my sister who felt sorry for me.

Great content, but nobody could find me. People don’t search for ‘course by Jennifer’ – they search ‘how to make money online in Nigeria’ or ‘freelancing course.’

We optimized for actual searches, started a blog, created a free mini-course instead of expecting ₦25,000 upfront. The email sequence builds trust before selling.

Six months later: 15-20 sales monthly instead of 3. Email list went from 47 people (mostly friends) to 1,200 engaged subscribers. My next course already has 300 people on the waiting list.

I was running my tour company through WhatsApp and prayer. Very professional, right?

JS Digital asked what seemed like stupid questions – when do people book tours? What do they always ask about? Turns out everyone books Wednesday/Thursday for weekends and asks the same five questions.

We built a website with all that info upfront. No more voice notes explaining what’s included. Then Google Ads for ‘weekend getaway Abuja’ – I thought that was only for big companies.

Went from 2-3 bookings monthly to 12-15. Had to hire help and get more drivers. Last month I made more than my entire first quarter after reopening

I sell everything – gym equipment, kitchen gadgets, luxury watches. Sounds smart, right? Wrong. I was struggling to make sales until someone introduced me to Jade of JS Digital.

After a brief conversation with over the phone – isn’t much of a talker, I decided to give him a try. This was in June. We tested some of the fitness equipment with Facebook ads. By October of that same year, we recorded over ₦50M in sales. Sales poured in from major Nigerian cities.

This is the windfall that gave my e-commerce business the much-needed financial boost to expand its reach and make more profits
